Ronald McDonald House New York

WorldLegacy’s NC174 Leadership Team funded a family guest room for an entire year by raising $13,060 in less than a week.  The money pays for multiple families to stay for free at the Ronald McDonald House New York City. This money will fund a family guest room for an entire year. This way families can stay for free, as long as they need, while their children are receiving lifesaving cancer treatments. Some of these families need to stay for weeks or months at a time.  A child with cancer should not have to face it alone.  They get to be healed, play and be nurtured.  They created a fun superhero party for the children.

In addition to the financial contributions, NC174 donated the following items:

• Fifty pillows

• Fifty Corelle cereal bowls

• Two complete stainless steel cookware sets

• Fifty boxes traditional medicinal tea

• Two hundred and fifty stainless steel forks, spoons and knives

• Five steam irons

• Fifty toys (art crafts, puzzles, playdough)
