SWAG Family Resource Center Florida
The NC160 Leadership project was an extreme makeover for SWAG Family Resource Center in Gainesville, Florida. Two sisters from the West Indies started the SWAG Family Resource Center. The sisters were immigrants themselves and wanted to give back to the community in their retirement. The center has served over 15,000 patients in 2015 alone.

Spence’s Farm, Chapel Hill, NC
Spence Dickinson started his farm out of concern that family-run farms — and with them places for children to feel needed, work hard and learn about nature — were dying. “We have a world and a country that doesn’t really value children’s time as a contribution to the needs of the community,” said Dickinson, owner of Spence’s Farm. On Saturday, Dickinson and a group of volunteers did their best to offset those concerns.
St. Judes Research Hospital
WorldLegacy’s NC154 Leadership Team raised, in one week, $13,500 for the Children of St. Judes Research Hospital. St. Jude’s Research Hospital for Children believes that “no child should die in the dawn of life.”
Shaw University Raleigh, NC
WorldLegacy NC 109 Leadership team decided to make a difference for children at Shaw University in Raleigh, NC. The team spent three months learning stretching and standing for excellence, love and possibility. The icing on the cake was the project at Shaw University which was indeed an extreme makeover.
Oaklawn Project Wichita Kansas
A community is coming together to improve a neighborhood. Bringing everyone together is the goal of designing and building a playground in the span of just one weekend. Volunteers have braved the Kansas heat to convert a vacant lot in Oaklawn into a park. It’s a project enjoying plenty of community support.
Lifespan WorldLegacy Project
Children at the LifeSpan Circle School in Burlington will be welcomed to a brand new playground Monday. Built in two days by more than 100 volunteers from all over North Carolina and the US. Among the new treasures are a gazebo, a handicapped-accessible swing set, brand new pre-school level playground and several new sand boxes. Volunteers also mulched, raked, and cleaned the schoolyard.
Governor Morehead School for the Blind
