WorldLegacy’s NC179 leadership stand for love, freedom and possibilities in a connected world.  They stand for people choosing from infinite possibilities and for a connected world.  The team’s vision for this project is to free families from some of the financial burdens of being with their children when they are in the hospital. They are committed to families being close to their children and being able to focus on their children.

NC179 chose to make a difference for Ronald McDonald House in Charlotte, NC.  In one week, they raised $11,515.00, from 136 different donors, to cover the cost of two rooms for an entire year.  In addition, they created abundance by providing the Ronald McDonald House with some much needed items.

The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) of Charlotte is a “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill children from across the Carolinas and the country, who are receiving medical treatment at hospitals in Charlotte, North Carolina.  During short-term or extended hospital stays, the House provides a safe haven for families to rest, eat and find support from one another and the community as they cope with their children’s medical needs.

In addition to the funding of the rooms, they donated a full-size refrigerator, two commercial vacuum cleaners, a full-size freezer, storage bins, a high-chair, six 100% cotton baby blankets, coloring books, and two electric can openers.

The items were presented to RMH, by NC179 Leadership, dressed as Superheroes.  The team created a celebration for both the staff and students on December 15, 2019.  Budget:  $22,500
