WorldLegacy Workshop Supported My Career

WorldLegacy Workshop Supported My Career

Easily the best investment that I ever made in myself is the money I spent on the Basic – Advanced – Leadership Program that WorldLegacy offers. What I learned from this WorldLegacy experience changed the dynamics of every relationship and career experience I have had since!!! My marriage is more honest and caring. My art educational career is a positive experience in my life and my focus is clear; to create an art educational experience that will amplify my students’ greatness and their vision of themselves. The experiential nature of the workshops enabled me to see in 3-D how my way of looking at life was working; it was OK but I never felt fulfilled or comfortable — or particularly happy. Using the tools of WorldLegacy brought me to a clearer awareness of my greatness and everybody else’s greatness!! It got me in touch with what REALLY mattered to me: my family, my work, my personal peace of mind, and my ability to affect change in the world. Irene Talton, Retired Teacher, Raleigh, NC

Corporate Wellness My WorldLegacy Experience

Jim G.  Charlotte, NC

I graduated WorldLegacy NC86 in the fall of 2006. I was a personal trainer and
fitness instructor at that time. One of my clients had introduced me
to the work being completed at the WorldLegacy and invited me to
attend. Being in the health and fitness industry I have been to many
professional conventions and other training opportunities before. I
decided to go because this was one of my biggest clients, and the
fact that he was so sincere, told this me was something different. I
showed up vowing to do it on my terms. What I found at WorldLegacy was an amazing
group of individuals really committed to creating positive change, transformation,
and helping others find their voice. This was getting real about what
is really happening in my life today. I knew I had to do it.

Eighteen months later…..

I have formed my own corporation, secured my first contract for
providing corporate wellness and health promotion solutions.

Begun to assemble a team of health professionals to provide the very
best in wellness coaching and health promotion programming.

Developed several websites for our businesses.

Rode three Century (100 mile plus) bike rides for charlity in 2007

Was elected president of the CUMC chapter of the United Methodists
Men’s national association.

Helped lead a mission team to Mississippi to complete Katrina
disaster relief, for the last 5 years

The experience I had in the personal leadership work I completed at
the WorldLegacy created a profound change in my outlook on my life.
At the time I had no idea how big that was going to be. I had talent
before, what I received was this crystal clear vision of what I
wanted and an understanding that the only thing keeping me from it
was me. Take the risk to explore all the possibilities that await, if
you dare to look. Find your voice and be heard, make a difference.

WorldLegacy Project: Prancing Horse

Prancing Horse, Cameron, NC
Prancing Horse provides therapeutic horseback riding programs for special needs children, with a direct focus on those who come from under-privileged environments. This WorldLegacy Leadership project involved major renovations of the facility including updating the sensory riding trail.

Prancing Horse Revitalized

BY SUE SMITHSON: Equestrian Correspondent
Just a few months ago, Prancing Horse director Ronnie Meltzer thought the center for therapeutic riding might have to close. Fundraising was a constant struggle, the office roof was leaking, suitable equine donations were hard to come by, and many of their older horses were lame or otherwise unusable.
“It was bad, I didn’t know what we were going to do there for awhile,” Meltzer said.
For 20 years, Prancing Horse has provided therapeutic riding to hundreds of handicapped, impaired, or challenged children and adults in spring and fall 10-week sessions. The center is located between Vass and Cameron, just past Woodlake.

But thanks to local volunteer Ouida Newell of Carthage and the WorldLegacy, a Raleigh leadership-training center, Prancing Horse recently received a much-needed boost.
The old office trailer was replaced with a new one, used but in great shape. Newell said she started looking around for a new office trailer, and the first person she called had one sitting in the yard.

“We got it for half-price,” Newell said. As a Carthage antique dealer, Newell says she can al-ays “sniff out a bargain.”

The WorldLegacy leadership group, consisting of about 40 people from all over the country taking a three-month course, needed a community project.
They wanted a rural setting, and a project that would benefit children. Only manpower, not personal funds, could be spent, and they wanted to involve others.
The Prancing Horse sensory trail concept was conceived, birthed, and completed within one weekend. The trail winds through trees with chimes, spirals, pinwheels, elves, wooden bridges, and horse height mailboxes with surprises inside.

“It’s all about concepts,” Meltzer explained. “We go under, around and over. We count, we explore. This trail is so perfect.”
A new office and a new sensory trail goes a long way, but add three new instructors and a new horse donation, Lefreda Williams’ fox hunter Mousse, and Prancing Horse is on the rebound.
“We still have to stay on top of the fundraising efforts,” Meltzer said. “But the WorldLegacy group really gave us a shot in the arm.”

WorldLegacy and Family

WorldLegacy and Family

Wow! I had literally forgotten who I was by the time I went to the WorldLegacy training in Morrisville, NC. I walked in the training a mother of eight with a job I felt stuck working 70 hours a week and a poor relationship with men in general. Through the realization that I am WORTHY of having what I want, I live freely, now! I started taking my home-based WELLNESS business seriously during my Leadership

Program and I never looked back! I now cherish precious moments with my children, knowing the world has more than enough for all of us to thrive. I have a full life, now with friends outside of my profession, and I even date occasionally! I honor men for their greatness, because I allowed myself to forgive them and myself for my past. My children are so much happier with life, now that they see me living abundantly! They go after their passions for the future, right NOW!

After they committed to participating in the WorldLegacy Foundation teen trainings, they’ve taken leadership roles at school and in the community that blow me away! I’m thankful for our environment at The WorldLegacy. It’s where I let my children run free without me standing over them. I am able to trust the graduates to love, rather than harm them. It is the one place where I have found many different people creating oneness that is heart-felt, real, and open! Through the transformation I’ve created at The WorldLegacy, I see my vision of FAMILY WELLNESS in the world more clearly everyday! God bless, WorldLegacy! Tiffany Peterson

WorldLegacy Makeover Victorious Praise Church

Victorious Praise Church

The WorldLegacy NC133 “I Have a Dream” Extreme Makeover Project Coming from a stand of unity, freedom, love, and empowerment, WorldLegacy’s NC133 created an amazing project for the Victorious Community Development Corporation’s youth development center in Durham, NC. The youth development center was operating out of a trailer in the back of Victorious Praise church and was supposed to function as a place where kids could come after school to do homework and get tutoring. We committed to doing major body work on the trailer that was needed for it to be in excellence and providing it with 10 new computers, a handicap ramp, closet space, 60 chairs, and new appliances. The project amounted to about $35,000 and enrolled about 50 committed volunteers. The work was done in only 48 hours. Involving the community involved serious connection on my part to bring forth the vision in mind and make givers out of our community members!  Jenn Price

PRESS RELEASE
This invitation is extended to you from the NC133 Leadership team of the WorldLegacy in Morrisville, NC. The WorldLegacy is an adult education company, providing workshops and personal coaching for individuals who wish to become extraordinary and make a profound impact on our planet.

The Leadership Program is a three-month program designed to develop skills in leadership, enrollment and service. As part of the program, each Leadership team designs and completes a substantial project that leaves a tangible, lasting contribution to the community. The team has the challenge of involving community members, not using any of their own money, and completing the project in one weekend. Most projects have budgets that exceed $30,000.

As the 133rd Leadership team, we have chosen to partner with the Victorious Community Development Corporation (VCDC) in Durham, NC. The VCDC is a 501c3 non-profit that provides outreach services to over 200 youth and families in the community. Most of these services are provided out of a trailer that is in desperate need of repair. The current flooring and walls have holes. The computers are far outdated, and most not even working. The food pantry is in need of work. The entire interior requires painting. The bathroom needs to be repaired and connected to the city line. The aluminum siding around the bottom of the trailer needs to be replaced as well. There is great need!

Our ultimate goal with this project is not only to aid the VCDC in providing much needed services, but to also create a profound and lasting impact on the community of Durham and the world. These youth are our future leaders and will shape our world for generations. Join us in this effort to give back to our youth and community.

We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support in realizing this dream. There are several ways that you can contribute:

Donations – Our team will not be using ANY of our own money and are relying on local businesses, organizations, and individuals to have this happen.
Volunteering – All of the work will be completed in just one weekend and volunteers are needed for all kinds of work: skilled labor, painting, etc.

Sharing – If you are unable to donate your time or money you can still help!
